REPORTS TO: Accounting/Projects Manager
SCHEDULE: Part Time
Position Purpose/Summary: Troubleshoot and maintain all network endpoint equipment and software used in the credit union. Interact directly with end users to resolve any challenges they may come up against during their daily work. Assist in the decision making and purchasing process for new hardware and software.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Due to the nature of this role in dealing with a diverse group of employees and management on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):
- Understanding of asset management in an enterprise environment and familiarity with asset management software and/or products
- Prior experience in various IT related projects (user migration, MS Windows migration, data migration, mass hardware/software deployment, etc.)
- Knowledge of operation of and maintaining common PC and peripheral equipment.
- Strong understanding of Windows desktop environment, including security controls for PC and internet environments, and experience in a VM environment
- Knowledge of basic network systems and distributed computing environments as well as functional knowledge of wiring and cabling standards for telecommunications equipment, along with current marketplace PC and peripheral equipment and mobile devices and services.
- Experience with IT service management systems.
- Understanding of how the Internet works and concepts used to create and distribute information online including remote training products.
- Microsoft Office suite, Image Center, and document imaging systems.
- Windows and TCP/IP networking and how it relates in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of endpoint protection systems including anti-malware and application whitelisting software; Endpoint networking
- Understanding of Active Directory maintenance including user and computer object maintenance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Efficient time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment)
- Ability to use and/or learn variety of software as required for job/position.
- Positively communicate with diverse employee population while providing excellent customer service
- Strong computer and math skills, adherence to confidentiality, detail-oriented
