Health Savings Accounts (HSA) combine the protection of health insurance with a tax-advantaged savings account. In order to take advantage of the benefits of a Health Savings Account, you need to be enrolled in an HSA – eligible health insurance also referred to as a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). On the insurance side, you receive affordable, name brand insurance with additional flexibility and benefits unique to HSAs. LSFCU has teamed up with industry expert HSA Living to guide you through the process. You can pay for medical expenses on an income tax-free basis.
